buy the book is an exhibition that joins fabulous artists with books from the VNSA Used Book Sale. The VNSA book sale is an annual event with over 600,000 books for sale at the State Fair Grounds and it is a great opportunity to buy books on the cheap for altered book or other artistic projects plus the proceeds are distributed to local charities. (The book sale will be held on February 11 and 12 this year--see http://vnsabooksale.org/ for more info).

The folks at the VNSA asked us if we'd be interested in having artists to make art work from their books to help them celebrate their 50th Anniversary. Becuase we love, love, love the VNSA book sale, we were thrilled to do an exhibition with books from their discard pile. Come on down and see the fabulous work!
