Exquisite Editions
There is a two-semester course at Columbia College, part of the MFA in Interdisciplinary Book & Paper Arts on editioning artist books. These are not simple artist books--these books are complicated in thought and design complete with handmade paper, letterpress printing and movable parts. While many artists work in multiples, editioning complex artist book are a structural challenge and a mental test in perseverance. The fabulous work in this show are the accomplishments of Ben Blount, Aaron Kohl, Elisabeth Long, Kevin Cuasay, Sara Loosen Otto and Mardy Sears.
